Indian stock markets opened with strong gains today(18 July 2022) tracking strength in Asian and US equities.
The BSE Sensex rose over 450 points to 54,237, and the NSE Nifty50 advanced 130 points to 16,180.
Infosys, Tech M, L&T, Dr. Reddy's, Sun Pharma IndusInd Bank, HUL, Tata Steel, and ICICI Bank led gains on the Sensex, rising 1-2 percent. Hindalco, JSW Steel, UPL, and ONGC were the additional gainers on Nifty.
While HDFC twins, Britannia and M&M were the sole index losers holding tepid cuts.
