Closing Bell:Sensex gains 418 points, Nifty at 18716.15

At close, the Sensex was up 418.45 points or 0.67% at 63,143.16, and the Nifty was up 114.70 points or 0.62% at 18,716.20. Tata Consumer, Cipla, ITC, Titan, and Asian Paints were the top gainers on the Nifty 50 index. Kotak Bank, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, HCL Tech, and M&M were the top losers on the index. About 2040 shares advanced, 1446 shares declined, and 126 shares were unchanged. In the broader market, the BSE MidCap index soared 1.2 percent, while the Smallcap added 0.8 percent on Tuesday. Nifty Realty shined in trade, recording gains of 3.06%, with Nifty Media rising 1.7%, Nifty Pharma adding 1.12% and Nifty FMCG adding 1.36%.
